Johnny Manziel may take legal action against the “frequent filer” who is behind a bizarre and almost certainly fake lawsuit alleging that the rookie quarterback sent nude selfies to a CNN contributor.

Johnny Manziel and his representation are considering taking legal action in response to a bizarre lawsuit that was filed against him in a Florida federal court, according to USA Today. Manziel’s agent Erik Burkhardt has already responded to the lawsuit, saying on Twitter that it is “1000000% fake and/ or frivolous.“

Samantha Schacher, which happens to be the name of a CNN Headline News contributor, was named as he plaintiff in the lawsuit, which alleges that Manziel sent her a series of odd nude selfies, inlcuding one with “Manziel putting a hot dog bun between his penis.” The lawsuit was filed using an address that matches CNN’s in Atlanta. Schacher has since told TMZ that she has also been the victim of the hoax.

According to NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport, who spoke with a court clerk, the lawsuit could be the work of a “frequent filer” who was using Schacher’s name as an alias. Schacher claimed that a man named Jonathan Lee Riches, who is famous for doing this sort of thing, is the man who actually filed the lawsuit.

Burkhardt spoke with USA Today and said that “we absolutely will protect our client to the fullest extent of the law.”

“It’s insanity,” Burkhardt told USA TODAY Sports. “You can read the thing for yourself.

“What some people will do for publicity is just embarrassing. That’s all I’ve got to say.”

This is the second straight Friday that a rookie first-round quarterback was subjected to a too-weird-to-be-true lawsuit. Blake Bortles, the No. 3 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, was accused of framing a Pennsylvania inmate by a man going by the name "Theodore Bridgewater." The lawsuit also claimed that Bortles was HIV positive and taking steroids.

Once again, please note that anybody can file a lawsuit about anything, any time they want.
