Malcolm Glazer, the owner of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Manchester United, died on Wednesday. The Buccaneers confirmed the news. He was 85 years old.

Glazer broke into the business world when he was 15 years old, taking over the family watch part business. He went on to become president and CEO of First Allied Corporation where he made his fortune by investing in a variety of holdings and public companies. He broke into the sports world in 1995 when he purchased the Buccaneers. The team went on to have considerable success during his ownership tenure. including a Super Bowl victory in 2002. He became an owner in the Premier League in 2003, when he purchased a small stake in Manchester United. He would eventually add to his ownership, taking a majority stake in 2005.
Glazer is survived by his wife and six children. According to the release from the Buccaneers, the team will remain in the family and his wife Linda and their six children will continue to own and operate the franchise. According to WPTV 5, Glazer had been in poor health since 2006 when he suffered two strokes.
