Kyle Fuller taken by Bears at No. 14 overall

Virginia Tech’s best corner is now hoping his success translates to the NFL.

The Chicago Bears have drafted Virginia Tech cornerback Kyle Fuller with the No. 14 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, hoping to bolster their secondary.

Fuller is one of the more intriguing prospects this year, mixed in with one of the better cornerback classes we have seen recently. At 6’0 and 190 pounds, Fuller has the size to play on the outside and stand his ground against most NFL receivers.

During his time in Blacksburg, Fuller made the All-ACC team three times -- once each on the second- and third-teams, plus an honorable mention. Last season, Fuller was the main focal point of the Virginia Tech secondary, displaying elite speed. The main knock on Fuller is his lack of strength, something that needs to be addressed before he can play a very solid bump-and-run technique.
