Maybe they're getting ready to move Stevie Johnson, or maybe they're starting to realize that they need to put up some points to compete with the Patriots. Either way the Bills swapped first round picks (they were at 9, they moved up to the Browns spot at 4) to move up for the dynamic Sammy Watkins out of Clemson. They also tossed in their fourth round pick and their first rounder next year.

Sammy Watkins should make an instant impact on an offensively challenged Bills team.

Let's just say the Bills hang on to Johnson. They're going to be a pretty, pretty good offensive team with Stevie and Fred Jackson, C.J. Spiller, Watkins, and a healthy E.J. Manuel who looked pretty good last year. Watkins was a hell of an explosive playmaker at Clemson, and would instantly become one of the top big-play threats in the division outside of Mike Wallace.
It was an interesting move considering that there were a number of players on the board that could have made an impact in Cleveland (including Johnny Manziel and Teddy Bridgewater). Instead, the Browns opted to stockpile picks for this year and next. They’ve got two this year and 2 next year now. Pettine is also buying himself from time as a head coach, which is a commodity that’s in high demand in Cleveland.
