NFL Draft 2014: Schedule and start time for Friday’s Round 2 and 3

The NFL draft rolls on, with the second and third rounds scheduled for Friday. Here are all the details for Day 2.

Jeff Zelevansky

SB Nation 2014 NFL Draft

With Day 1 of the 2014 NFL Draft in the books, 68 more players will be selected on Friday in the second and third rounds.

The first round proved to be eventful as always with plenty of drama and unexpected turns. Things went as expected early on with Jadeveon Clowney and Greg Robinson going 1-2, then it got interesting. The Jaguars grabbed Blake Bortles with the third pick, the first of three quarterbacks to go in the first round. Cleveland moved up from No. 26 to No. 22 to grab Johnny Manziel while the Vikings traded back into the first round to pick Teddy Bridgewater 32nd. A total of five deals were made during the round. Wide receivers were popular with the Bills trading up for Sammy Watkins and the Saints moving up for Brandin Cooks. Mike Evans, Odell Beckham and Kelvin Benjamin also came off the board.

The draft will resume with 32 picks in the second round and 36 more in the third. Day 2 will conclude with San Francisco using the No. 100 pick. The additional four selections in the third round were awarded to the Steelers, Packers, Ravens and 49ers as compensation for lost free agents in the 2013 offseason, and cannot be traded.

Television coverage for the second round is set to begin at 6:30 p.m. ET; however, the draft will not resume until 7 p.m. when the Houston Texans, barring a trade, will be back on the clock for pick No. 33. The Texans already have Clowney and could opt for a quarterback, potentially Derek Carr who remains on the board.
