Marvin Harrison evades gunfire early Saturday morning

Harrison was accused of shooting two men in 2008, though no charges were filed. He also had a handgun confiscated by police in 2009.

Marvin Harrison's truck was shot at by gunmen early Saturday morning as he helped a man flee from two intruders.

According to Philly.com, Harrison was driving at 3:20 a.m. when a man waved him down in the street. The man said two intruders had broken into his house, and Harrison allowed the man to get into the bed of his truck. The alleged intruders fired two shots at the truck as it sped away, though neither Harrison nor the unidentified man were struck. One of Harrison’s tires were flattened, according to the report.

Unfortunate coincidence or not last night, it seems like gunfire follows Harrison wherever he goes. Despite being looked at as a role model during a Hall of Fame caliber career with the Colts, he has had multiple run-ins with police.

Harrison was accused of shooting two men in 2008, one in the hand and one in the back. Charges were never filed because of inconsistencies in the stories the three men told police. Then, Dwight Dixon, who accused Harrison of shooting his hand, was gunned down just two blocks away from Harrison’s bar in Philadelphia. He would die two months later, though police have not made any arrests.
