Chris Kluwe will file his lawsuit against the Minnesota Vikings on Wednesday, the former punter's attorney told the Pioneer Press on Monday.
Chris Kluwe will file lawsuit against Vikings on Wednesday
The former NFL punter will begin his legal offensive this week.

Clayton Halunen, Kluwe’s lawyer, said that his client will seek more than $10 million for lost wages due to unfair termination and for defamation of character. Halunen told the Pioneer Press that any money received from the suit will be donated to LGBT groups.
Kluwe alleges the Vikings fired him for his gay rights advocacy and then withheld the findings of an independent investigation into the matter. Kluwe announced the surprise lawsuit last week in a press conference hours after news leaked that the Vikings did not plan to release the long awaited findings of the investigation.

The Vikings did announce a three-game suspension for special teams coach Mike Priefer, who investigators found to have made a single homophobic statement toward Kluwe. Kluwe insists that Priefer made at least three homophobic comments. That suspension can be dropped to two games if Priefer completes sensitivity training.
