Miami Dolphins center Mike Pouncey is likely to miss eight weeks covering seven games this season, according to the Miami Herald. Pouncey underwent surgery in June to repair a torn labrum and was already slated to miss September.
Mike Pouncey will reportedly miss 8 weeks
The Dolphins center had labrum surgery in June.

Pouncey will start the season on the physically unable to perform list (PUP), meaning the Dolphins can have more flexibility on their roster while he is out.
While the timeframe is generally four months for this kind of injury, Pouncey’s actual recovery time could change, since different people heal differently. The PUP list could provide some clues about when he will return.
If the team puts Pouncey on the active roster (after training camp), he will still be miss September’s games as he continues to recover. But this will suggest the team is comfortable with him returning sometime before six games are played.
If the team places Pouncey on the regular season PUP this will prove the rehab and recovery from this surgery will extend beyond the initially hopeful three-month recovery period.
A former first-round pick, Pouncey has started all 48 games he’s played since coming into the league.
