Three people are suing NFL brothers Mike and Maurkice Pouncey for an alleged assault in a nightclub on July 11, the night of the Pounceys' birthday party. Riquan James, Niya Pickett and Brentley Williams all claimed they were brutally attacked by the Pounceys, who first attacked James, they claim, because he is gay.
Mike, Maurkice Pouncey sued for allegedly beating gay man, knocking woman unconscious
The brothers have denied the events, which allegedly took place in a night club on their birthday.

James was addressed with derogatory and homophobic remarks and anti gay slurs by defendants Maurkiece and Michael and by their security detail and their entourage.
...
Maurkice struck James in the face several times and then Maurkice, Michael, their security and agents all begin to punch, hit and kick James while he was laying in a fetal position.
James is roughly a foot shorter than, and half as heavy as the Pouncey brothers. Pickett tried to intervene, but claims she was knocked unconscious after Maurkice punched her in the face. Williams claims to have suffered bruises and needed stitches on her right leg.
James had accused the Pounceys of the assault shortly after the incident, but now that the lawsuit is official, Pickett and Williams have been added. When the initial allegations came out, the Pounceys denied any involvement through their attorney:
“Mike and Maurkice were not involved in any altercation with the accuser or anyone else that night and did nothing wrong,” Ostrow wrote. “It appears that the accuser is an opportunist seeking attention and possible financial gain. Any attempt by the accuser or anyone else to bring an action against them based upon these false allegations will be vigorously defended. If the accuser continues to perpetuate these lies, we will bring an action against him.”
The police were still looking for James to come in and discuss the alleged incident, according to that article. Remember, anyone can sue anyone for anything. The full lawsuit is below.
This is the second straight year the Pounceys have had an incident at their birthday party. The previous year, they were photographed wearing "Free Hernandez" hats, supporting their college teammate Aaron Hernandez, who had been arrested for murder.
