Jordy Nelson, Packers agree to new $39 million deal per report

The Packers have locked up Jordy Nelson long term, according to reports.

Andrew Weber-USA TODAY Sports

Jordy Nelson and the Green Bay Packers have agreed to a new four-year deal worth $39 million with $14.2 million guaranteed, according to a report by Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Nelson was in the final year of a three-year deal he signed back in 2011 and was set to make just over $3 million in base salary for 2014, but the new deal will give him a nice pay day after outperforming his previous deal.

Nelson finished the 2013 season with just over 1,300 receiving yards with eight touchdowns and over the past three seasons has hauled in 30 touchdowns for the Packers.

Green Bay has found themselves with a group of talented wide receivers and Nelson is now locked up for the long term.
