UPDATE (8:37 p.m. ET): Lynch will receive a bump in his guaranteed payout for 2014 as a result of ending his holdout, according to Pro Football Talk. Under the old agreement, Lynch was set to make a $5 million base salary with another $1 million possible through per-game roster bonuses and performance incentives. Instead, he’s getting that extra $1 million guaranteed plus an early payment of another $500,000, increasing his total money for the season to $6.5 million.

Marshawn Lynch's holdout from training camp in Seattle might finally be over, according to Adam Schefter. Lynch had been holding out of practice in the hopes of getting a better contract that he thought would be more fair for an above-average NFL running back.
Lynch skipped out on attending the Seahawks' voluntary practices this year, though he did attend the team's minicamp. In his current deal, he would make $5 million in 2014 and $5.5 million in 2015, placing him fifth among NFL running backs. According to Schefter, he will see a very small raise in exchange for ending the holdout, but he will not receive the new deal he was looking for.

— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) July 31, 2014 Lynch rushed for 1,257 yards and 12 touchdowns on 301 carries last season for the Super Bowl-winning Seahawks, and while he is still a solid back, he wasn’t indispensable, given that he has been in the league for eight seasons and is nearing 30 years old. And although he may not get a new deal, he will reportedly get some concessions, and can finally let Seahawks fans rest easy about the upcoming season.
