Marshawn Lynch ‘not involved in any way’ in assault
Police cleared Seattle running back Marshawn Lynch in an assault investigation and said he was not involved in the incident.

— Bob Condotta (@bcondotta) August 14, 2014 Police are trying to determine whether Seattle Seahawks Marshawn Lynch was involved in an assault in Bellevue, Wash. early Sunday morning, according to Chris Daniels. Lynch is under investigation but has not been arrested.
Police responded to a report of assault and property damage at a downtown Bellevue apartment complex at 2:30 a.m. local time on Sunday, where they were told by an unnamed woman that Lynch was the suspect, according to KOMOnews.com. Police said they are still trying to determine whether Lynch was indeed involved and have not spoken to him yet.
“The Bellevue Police Department is in the process of gathering the facts of this alleged incident, including verifying whether or not Mr. Lynch was in fact involved,” police said in a press release.
The incident did not involve domestic violence or sexual assault, according to the release.
Lynch recently ended his holdout with the Seahawks, reporting to training camp last week. He did not play in the team's preseason loss to the Denver Broncos last Thursday.
