Matt Cassel gets a small measure of revenge against the Chiefs

There’s nothing like throwing a long touchdown against your former team in the preseason.

It might be the preseason, but there’s still few things better for a quarterback than throwing a long touchdown pass against the team that released you in March.

Surely that’s what Matt Cassel was thinking on this bomb to Cordarelle Patterson.

When quarterback Matt Cassel was traded to the Kansas City Chiefs in 2009, there were big hopes that he could be the franchise QB the team needed. Instead, he was pretty bad. It didn't get any better in 2010, 2011 or 2012 either. So the Chiefs cut him.

The same day he was released, he signed a contract with the Minnesota Vikings. No doubt Cassell has been waiting for this moment ever since that day.
