Jaguars vs. Washington odds 2014: Jacksonville comes in as underdog
Both teams struggled in 2013 and will be competing for their first win in 2014.

Both teams are 0-1 after Washington fell 17-6 to the Houston Texans and the Jaguars lost to the Philadelphia Eagles. Jacksonville carried 17-0 lead over Philadelphia into halftime before being crushed by 34 unanswered points. The Jaguars got great performances from rookie receiver Allen Hurns and defensive end Ryan Davis. Hurns caught two touchdowns and went for 110 yards on four receptions. Davis had a pair of sacks as part of the Jaguars' five-sack showing.
Washington did not impress in its debut under head coach Jay Gruden. Robert Griffin III threw for 267 yards and Alfred Morris rushed for 91 yards on 14 carries, but it wasn't enough to overcome seven penalties and a 25 percent success rate on third down. Andre Johnson and DeAndre Hopkins torched Washington's secondary, accumulating 93 and 89 yards respectively.
Jacksonville has been good in covering the spread on the road, doing so in four of its last six chances. Washington has been on the opposite end of the spectrum, going 2-7 against the spread in its last nine contests. The Jaguars have been improving but are still having a hard time winning with a 4-18 record in their last 22 games.
