The Bears have had all kinds of issues covering the spread recently, doing it three times in their last 14 contests. The 49ers are 9-1 in their last 10 games and 5-1 in their previous six at home. The total has been UNDER in five of San Francisco’s past seven games.
San Francisco started off the season in style, beating the Dallas Cowboys 28-17. The 49ers picked Tony Romo three times and got out to a 28-3 lead before coasting home. Vernon Davis caught two touchdown passes and Colin Kaepernick threw for 201 yards en route to victory.
Chicago suffered an upset defeat against the Buffalo Bills, losing 23-20 at home. The Bills tore up the Bears on the ground, rushing for 193 yards. Despite the loss, Matt Forte rushed for 82 yards and caught eight passes for 87 yards, leading the Bears in both categories. Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery both went for 71 receiving yards, with Marshall hauling in a touchdown.
