Green Bay has struggled to cover the spread in the last 11 games, sporting a 2-8-1 mark. The Packers are also without a cover in their last five games at home. The Jets have seen the total go UNDER in five of their previous seven games and are 1-3-1 on the road against the spread.
New York enters with a 1-0 record after beating the Oakland Raiders, 19-14, at MetLife Stadium in its season opener. Geno Smith was excellent, throwing for 221 yards and only misfiring on five attempts. The Jets also dominated on the ground, rushing for a league-best 212 yards. Chris Ivory led the way with 102 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries.
Green Bay will have to tighten up its run defense after allowing 207 rushing yards, the second-highest total of Week 1. The Packers got pressure on Russell Wilson throughout the evening but only managed one sack, coming courtesy of rookie Ha Ha Clinton-Dix. Jordy Nelson had a standout game, beating Byron Maxwell a majority of the night for nine catches and 83 yards.
