Most football prop odds focus on things that will happen in a game.
NFL Week 2 prop bets: Nick Foles turnovers, Richard Sherman tested and more
Will Philip Rivers test Richard Sherman? Will Nick Foles turn the ball over? Check out some Week 2 NFL props.

Week 2 of the NFL betting season features several interesting props that focus on what won’t happen.
As in, Nick Foles turnovers that won't happen. The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback was nearly perfect in 2013, but he was a turnover disaster in Week 1 against Jacksonville. Sportsbook Bovada set his turnovers for the Monday Night game in Indianapolis at two. The Colts are favored by a field goal to continue their epic streak of 13 straight against the spread wins following on the heels of a loss.
Another ‘won't happen' prop focuses on Seattle cornerback Richard Sherman. The self-proclaimed best cover man in the NFL wasn't tested once by Packers QB Aaron Rodgers in Week 1. His prop on pass targets for Week 2 in San Diego was also set at two.
Some other fun Week 2 NFL props:
The Minnesota Vikings are 6-1 ATS over their last seven regular season games including a 34-6 win over St. Louis in their season opener. The Vikings host the New England Patriots this week, and wideout Cordarrelle Patterson will be a part of the team's game plan.
Cordarrelle Patterson - Week 2 Rushing Yards
The total is set at 24.5 rushing yards at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com, with the OVER at -130 and the UNDER at -100. Patterson attempted just two rushes through the first 11 games of his career, but has had at least two rushing attempts in five of his six games since.
Patterson has rushed for 27 or more yards in four of Minnesota’s last six games and each of its last three. Against New England’s poor rushing defense, he should be able to break one big play and go OVER 24.5.
Nick Foles - Week 2 Turnovers
This line is set at 0.5 turnovers at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com, with the OVER at -200 and the UNDER at +160. Since taking over as the starter of the Philadelphia Eagles last season, Foles has thrown just three interceptions and lost only one fumble in 13 starts.
His interception and fumble lost against Jacksonville will be fresh on the minds of bettors, but his strong history of protecting the ball suggests that there is some excellent value in betting on Foles to have a turnover-free game at +160.
Richard Sherman - Week 2 Pass Targets
The wide receivers that Sherman was guarding in Seattle's 36-16 win over Green Bay weren't targeted a single time in the game. Sherman was targeted 58 times in 2013 which translates to 3.6 targets per game, and Philip Rivers is the type of brash quarterback who won't be afraid to roll the dice.
Take the OVER 3 targets at -130 (Under is -110).
Will any team that finished last in its division in 2013 win its division this season?
YES is going off at +100 and NO is favored at -140 at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. Last-place finishers that opened this season with a win include Houston, Buffalo, and Minnesota, but all three have their work cut out for them if they’re looking to dethrone their defending division champions.
