Falcons vs. Bengals 2014: Time, TV schedule, online streaming and radio

The Bengals must contain Matt Ryan and the Falcons’ explosive offense if they are going to win their 10th straight game at home on Sunday.

The Falcons made a big statement with a 37-34 overtime win over the Saints in Week 1, and will look to take that momentum on the road this weekend against a Bengals team that also notched an important victory over the Ravens in its season opener.

Coming off a nightmare 4-12 season, Atlanta quickly put its disappointing 2013 campaign in the rearview mirror last week with arguably the best offensive performance by any team. The Falcons put up nearly 600 yards of total offense thanks to a record-breaking performance by quarterback Matt Ryan, who lived up to his "Matty Ice" moniker with yet another fourth-quarter comeback.

The Bengals' defense of their AFC North title got off to a good start in Week 1 with a key 23-16 win in Baltimore. Andy Dalton proved he was worth the six-year, $115 million contract he received this summer in leading his team to a gutty, come-from-behind win against one of its division rivals. Dalton completed 65 percent of his passes for 301 yards, including the game-winning strike to A.J. Green with less than five minutes remaining.

Nuts and Bolts

The Bengals look to continue their success in the Queen City as they go for a franchise-record-tying 10th straight regular season win at home on Sunday. In order to keep the streak alive, they’ll need to contain an explosive Falcons offense that was in peak form last Sunday.

As good as the Falcons offense was in their win over the Saints, their defense was just as bad, and they cannot afford to get into another shootout with the Bengals this weekend. Atlanta allowed the sixth-most yards per game last year and showed little in Week 1 to prove that this year’s unit is any better.
