Patriots vs. Vikings 2014 live stream: Time, TV schedule, radio and how to watch online

The Patriots will try to avoid their first 0-2 start in 13 years when they visit Minnesota on Sunday.

Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

Two of the most surprising Week 1 teams - good and bad - meet on Sunday afternoon in Minnesota as the first-place Vikings host the last-place Patriots.

New England is coming off a brutal loss to the Dolphins, a game they lead by 10 points before being outscored 23-0 in the second half. Tom Brady struggled with the deep ball, missing on 16 of his 18 passes thrown at least 15 yards downfield, according to ESPN Stats and Information. His chemistry with Rob Gronkowski was also an issue all game, only catching four of 11 targets for 40 yards.

The Vikings manhandled a depleted Rams team in Week 1, recording their largest season-opening win in 25 years. Minnesota was the only team not to allow a touchdown last week, but the real test for its defense comes this week against a Patriots team that still has Super Bowl aspirations.

Odds

The Patriots were three-point favorites on the road in Minnesota, but that was before Adrian Peterson was deactivated in wake of his arrest. New England is now a seven-point favorite, and the over/under is set at 49. You can check out details at Oddshark.

Nuts and Bolts

Is it time to panic yet in New England? The Patriots are definitely in an unfamiliar position, looking up at the rest of the AFC East following their Week 1 loss. But Pats fans can take solace in this fact: the last time they lost their season opener was in 2003 - a season that ended with the team hoisting the Lombardi Trophy.

The Vikings need a win on Sunday to prove that their dominant performance in Week 1 against the Rams was no fluke. But they won't have their workhorse Peterson to eat up clock and keep the Patriots offense off the field, as Minnesota attempts to start the season with back-to-back wins for the first time since 2009.
