Emotional Charles Tillman tears up on sideline following another triceps injury
It’s never good to see a player’s season cut short by injury, but it can be especially rough watching a veteran who is getting up there in age deal with a serious injury so early in the year. That’s what it appears Charles “Peanut” Tillman is facing with the Bears.
Tillman’s 2013 season was cut in half due to a triceps injury, and on Sunday Night Football, he’s been taken out with what’s been termed a “right triceps injury.” The Bears haven’t clarified anything beyond that, including the severity of the injury. But judging from Tillman’s emotional reaction on the sideline, it doesn’t seem good.
The injury occurred on a relatively innocuous play as Tillman broke toward Michael Crabtree and chucked the 49ers receiver in the chest. He immediately slumped over in pain and wouldn’t return, heading back to the Chicago locker room near the end of the third quarter.
