Tavon Austin out 2 weeks with sprained MCL, per report
St. Louis Rams receiver Tavon Austin will miss two weeks with a strained MCL, according to a report.

Austin went down during the first quarter of the Rams' Week 2 matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The injury occurred when Tampa Bay safety Mark Barron barreled down on Austin while teammate Johnthan Banks hit the receiver from the other direction. Austin's knee buckled and he had to be helped off the field. His return was declared "questionable" at the time. While he recovers, St. Louis will turn to Brian Quick in two receiver sets and Chris Givens in the slot, Austin's primary position.
The Rams are fortunate that Austin, the eighth overall selection in the 2013 NFL draft, will only be sidelined for two weeks. Assuming no setbacks, he will miss games against the Dallas Cowboys and the team's bye week. Austin would return for the Rams' Week 5 matchup with the NFC West rival San Francisco 49ers.
