After disappointing losses in Week 2, the Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers face off in a NFC South divisional matchup in Atlanta on Thursday night. Both teams opened the season with aspirations of contending in the NFC South. Those dreams won't die regardless of what happens in Week 3, but a loss could potentially drop the Falcons two games behind the Panthers and the Bucs three back.
Buccaneers vs. Falcons 2014 picks and predictions: Atlanta a unanimous pick on Thursday night
The Falcons are a unanimous pick to beat the Buccaneers on Thursday night.

The Falcons have allowed more yards than any team in the league, having given up exactly 472 yards in each of their first two games. The 944 total yards allowed through two games is the second-highest figure in franchise history, and Atlanta will have to shore up its defense if it has any hope of competing for a division title. The offense has been up-and-down in the early going. Matt Ryan and the offense looked like the best in the league in Week 1, but couldn’t follow that up with another strong performance in Week 2.
The Buccaneers are still searching for their first win of the season and are trying to avoid their second straight 0-3 start. The team lost its first eight games last year en route to a 4-12 record. They have looked awful on offense, ranking fifth-worst in the NFL in total yards, and have forced just one turnover on defense. Quarterback Josh McCown has thrown fro just 362 yards this season, despite having Vincent Jackson, Mike Evans an other weapons to throw to.
Vegas has pegged the Falcons as 6.5-point favorite, and all of the experts agree that Atlanta should easily beat the Buccaneers at home. In fact, our SB Nation crew has the Falcons as a unanimous pick to win the game.
