The Eagles are a near-unanimous pick to remain undefeated with a win at home against a Washington team that is without its franchise quarterback.
NFL picks and predictions, Week 3: Washington vs. Eagles
The Eagles are a near-unanimous pick to defeat Washington on Sunday.

Philly might be the “luckiest” 2-0 team in the history of the NFL, as it became the first team to start 2-0 after trailing by 14 or more points in the second half of each game. The Eagles are trying to open the season at 3-0 for just the second time in the last 20 years -- the only other instance came in 2004, which happens to be the last time they reached the Super Bowl. To do that they’ll clearly need to play better in the first half, since they’ve been outscored 34-6 in the first 30 minutes of their first two games.
No RGIII, no problem for Washington as the team routed Jacksonville, 41-10. Kirk Cousins came on in relief and threw for 250 yards and two touchdowns in the easy win. Cousins struggled last year in limited action, completing just 52 percent of his passes with seven interceptions as Washington lost all three games with him as the starter. But coach Jay Gruden is optimistic that Cousins can lead this team to the playoffs and believes that Cousins is a better fit for the West Coast offense than Griffin.
CBS Sports is taking Philadelphia heavily, favoring the Eagles 7-1. Philly is also a near-unanimous pick at ESPN with 11 of 12 experts taking the Eagles, while both experts at Yahoo! Sports have Philadelphia as well.
