Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Josh McCown has left the field in the second quarter with an injury to his right thumb, according to CBS sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson.
Josh McCown leaves game with apparent hand injury
Thursday night is going from bad to worse for the Buccaneers, who now are down a starting quarterback.

UPDATE: McCown is standing on the sideline with a large wrap on his right hand and will not return:
Josh McCown (thumb) officially out for the game.
— Around The NFL (@AroundTheNFL) September 19, 2014 McCown appeared to hit his hand while following through on a throw. McCown, who is starting his third game with the Buccaneers after being signed away from the Chicago Bears in the offseason, has endured a tough start to his Tampa Bay career. He entered the night with two touchdowns against three interceptions, and then threw a pick-six to corner Kemal Ishmael.
Considering the Buccaneers are down 35-0 in the second quarter, it is unlikely that head coach Lovie Smith will bring McCown back if there is any injury at all. Second-year quarterback Mike Glennon is in the game replacing McCown. Glennon played in 13 games last season, throwing for 2,608 yards and 19 touchdowns with nine interceptions.
