The St. Louis Rams will host the Dallas Cowboys at the Edward Jones Dome on Sunday afternoon, both searching for a second straight victory. St. Louis was blown out 34-6 at home against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 1 but rallied for a Week 2 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road. The Rams are without starting quarterback Sam Bradford and backup Shaun Hill, giving way to third-string Austin Davis.

Dallas lacks defensive talent and St. Louis is plagued by injury, but both teams look to build upon Week 2 wins.

It appears the Rams might have lost more talent for the foreseeable future with receiver Tavon Austin sustaining a sprained knee. Coach Jeff Fisher says Austin is questionable for Sunday's game, per ESPN. Hill has a thigh injury and is considered day-to-day.
Dallas responded to a 28-17 loss against the San Francisco 49ers by romping the Tennessee Titans, 26-10. The Cowboys rode a strong rushing attack which netted 220 yards, 167 coming from DeMarco Murray. A much-maligned defense stifled the Titans attack, limiting Jake Locker to 234 yards passing and a pair of interceptions while Shonn Greene led Tennessee with 40 rushing yards. The only negative was pass blocking, with Dallas allowing four sacks.

Nuts and Bolts
St. Louis is battered but has plenty of talent in its defensive front seven. Chris Long is out with an ankle injury for at least two months, but rookie Aaron Donald and defending sack champion Robert Quinn give the Rams a formidable front. Donald, one of St. Louis' two first-round draft picks, shows the ability to get into the backfield with five tackles in his first two games. Michael Brockers also clogs up the middle, with middle linebacker James Laurinaitis cleaning up behind them.
With Dallas, it is always about the offense. Tony Romo is coming off two back surgeries and played like it in the season-opener, throwing three interceptions. However, Romo rebounded in Tennessee, staying turnover-free and tossing a touchdown to Dez Bryant, who had 10 catches for 103 yards. Head coach Jason Garrett has always been pass-heavy in his approach, but might be altering his philosophy if Sunday was any indication. Dallas threw 33 times and ran 43, an imbalance rarely seen from Dallas.
