The New York Giants have been terrible, but hope to get on the right track this Sunday against the undefeated Houston Texans at MetLife Stadium. New York was drubbed 35-14 against the Detroit Lions in its season opener before coming home to lose to the Arizona Cardinals and backup quarterback Drew Stanton.
Texans vs. Giants 2014: Time, TV schedule, radio and how to watch online
Houston looks legit in the AFC South while the Giants are still searching for their first win.

Stanton only threw for 167 yards on 14-of-29 passing while being sacked four times, but was buoyed by a top-notch special teams effort. Ted Ginn scored the eventual game-winning touchdown on a 71-yard punt return and the Cardinals recovered a Quintin Demps fumble on the ensuing kickoff, leading to a field goal.
Houston started 2013 with a pair of victories before losing 14 straight games. The Texans are 2-0 once again and look primed to have a much-improved season after pasting the Oakland Raiders, 30-14. Under first-year head coach Bill O'Brien and veteran quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, Houston has played excellent defense and been efficient on offense.

Nuts and Bolts
Houston finds itself in a surprising spot. The Texans are leading the AFC South and are two games ahead of the overwhelming preseason favorites, the Indianapolis Colts (the two teams will meet in Week 6). Arian Foster has enjoyed a great start to the season, gaining over 100 yards in both games. His success is key, allowing Fitzpatrick to throw sparingly.
New York needs better play out of its offense. Eli Manning led the league with 28 interceptions last year and has already tossed three. Under new offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo, the offense ranks 21st in passing and 29th in rushing, despite the additions of Rashad Jennings and rookie Andre Williams this offseason.
