Foster was limited in practice all week due to a hamstring injury.

HOU RB Arian Foster will not play vs NYG.
— Kimberly Jones (@KimJonesSports) September 21, 2014 Foster, 28, was listed as questionable on the official injury report after participating in practice on a limited basis all week. In the first two games of the season, Foster tallied 241 rushing yards, placing him in behind only DeMarco Murray for most in the NFL. He also has one rushing touchdown.
With Foster on the sidelines, the Texans will have Alfred Blue, Jonathan Grimes and Ronnie Brown as alternate options, with Blue expected to make the start. Blue rushed just once in Week 1, but got 11 carries in Week 2 against the Raiders and managed 40 yards. The Giants have allowed 60 points through two games, the sixth-highest total in the NFL.
Foster missed eight games in 2013 after undergoing season-ending surgery to repair a back injury in November.
