Last week, we watched Jamaal Charles take limited participation in practice on Thursday and Friday, then watched him on the sideline as Knile Davis ran rampant on the Miami Dolphins. The Kansas City Chiefs running back won't be a passive observer this week, or at least an optimistic Andy Reid doesn't think so.
Jamaal Charles expected to play against Patriots
Chiefs coach Andy Reid is optimistic his star running back will suit up on Monday night.

Reid told Boston.com he believes the star, who suffered a high ankle sprain in Week 2, will suit up Monday night against the New England Patriots.
“Yeah, I think so,” Reid replied when asked whether Charles will see the field. “He’s going to practice [Thursday]. We’ll see how he does.”
Charles did indeed practice on Thursday.
After a disappointing Week 1 that saw just seven carries for 19 yards, Charles injured the ankle three touches in against the Broncos the following week, and hasn't seen the field since. Davis, his backup, racked up 132 yards and a touchdown against the Dolphins in Week 3.
Despite Davis’s success, the Chiefs still sit at 1-2 and desperately need their best offensive playmaker back on the field.
