NFL picks and predictions, Saints vs. Cowboys 2014: Experts like Drew Brees on road

New Orleans has a high-powered attack, something that could pose a major problem for a leaky Cowboys defense.

Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports

The New Orleans Saints (1-2) are favorites heading into their contest against the Dallas Cowboys (2-1) on Sunday Night Football at AT&T Stadium, and most experts believe they will avoid an upset.

Over at CBS Sports, all eight experts believe the Saints will top the Cowboys in primetime, while only two believe Dallas will cover the meager 3.5-point spread. Of the 13 ESPN analysts, a mere three are rolling with Dallas, including a Hall of Famer who once played for the team, Mike Ditka.

Then there are the seven men of SB Nation, who have picked the game as shown below. The rest of our picks can be seen here.

New Orleans is 1-2, but coming off its lone victory over the Minnesota Vikings after losing to the Atlanta Falcons and Cleveland Browns. The Saints have played well offensively for the most part, ranking fifth in passing and sixth in rushing yardage. Drew Brees has led the way as usual, throwing for 863 yards and five touchdowns, including two to Jimmy Graham.

Dallas is riding a two-game winning streak after faltering in Week 1 against the San Francisco 49ers. Last week, the Cowboys fell behind 21-0 on the road to the St. Louis Rams before roaring back to claim a wild 34-31 victory. DeMarco Murray has finally been used to his capabilities by head coach Jason Garrett, averaging 25 carries per game. He has rushed for 385 yards and scored three times.
