How to watch Saints vs. Cowboys 2014 live stream, TV schedule, radio and more

Tony Romo and Drew Brees face off in a Sunday night matchup at “Jerry World.”

Jeff Curry-USA TODAY Sports

Comebacks have been the theme of this NFL season, and the Dallas Cowboys (2-1) pulled off the biggest one so far when they rallied from a 21-point deficit to beat the St. Louis Rams in Week 3. Dallas goes for a third straight win on Sunday night against a New Orleans Saints (1-2) team that got its first win in 2014 last week against the Minnesota Vikings.

New Orleans was arguably the most competitive winless team in the league entering Week 3, having held a lead in the final minute of regulation in both of its first two games. The Saints wasted no time in taking advantage of a struggling Vikings team on Sunday, scoring on their first two drives, and finished the game by running out the final seven minutes of the clock to preserve a 20-9 victory, their first win of the season.

The Cowboys matched the record for the largest come-from-behind win in franchise history, erasing a 21-0 deficit to stun the Rams, 34-31, in Week 3. For all his faults and costly mistakes, Tony Romo now has 21 fourth-quarter comebacks in his career, the most by any quarterback since his first full season as starter in 2006.

Nuts and Bolts

The Saints hit the road again in Week 4 as they try to snap a five-game losing streak away from the Superdome. They haven’t had a longer road losing streak since a 14-game stretch spanning the 1998-99 seasons. Their defense showed great improvement in Week 3, holding the Vikings to just three field goals, but the lack of takeaways remains a concern. They have forced just one turnover in the first three games, the second-fewest in the league.

The Cowboys notched their second straight win on Sunday and for the second straight game they ran the ball more than they passed. Those two facts are not coincidental. Dallas is now 8-1 when calling more rushes than passes in Jason Garrett's head coaching career. DeMarco Murray leads the NFL in rushing and will look to find holes in a Saints rush defense that allowed more than 250 yards combined on the ground in its two losses against the Falcons and Browns.
