Mike Evans had his best game of the season in Week 4, but it ended with a groin injury that is expected to keep him out of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lineup for 2-3 weeks, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Mike Evans out 2-3 weeks with groin injury
Evans had his first career touchdown reception in Week 4, but suffered a groin injury that will keep him out of the Tampa Bay lineup.

The seventh-overall selection in the 2014 NFL Draft increased his receiving yardage in each of the first four games of the season and hauled in his first career touchdown pass to help the Buccaneers to a 27-24 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. In the moments following the victory, JC De La Torre of SB Nation's Bucs Nation talked about the injury suffered by Evans.
I was so sad to see Mike Evans go down with the groin injury. He was really stepping up for the struggling V-Jax and you could see the makings of a playmaker for the Buccaneers. Then, as Buc Luck would have it, he pulled up lame on a deep pass (that led to Glennon’s only interception) and was lost for the rest of the contest.
Let’s hope it’s not serious and it won’t cost Evans a significant amount of time. The Bucs need him if they hope to sustain some success the rest of the way.
Evans, 21, accumulated huge numbers during his sophomore season at Texas A&M in 2013, as he finished the season with 69 receptions for 1,394 yards and 12 touchdowns before entering the 2014 NFL Draft. Through four games in 2014, Evans leads the Buccaneers in receiving with 17 receptions for 203 yards.
The Buccaneers will face the New Orleans Saints and Baltimore Ravens before a Week 7 bye. With Evans out of the lineup, the team will likely rely on Louis Murphy to start in his place. Murphy has six receptions this season for 99 yards.
