The 2014 NFL season is finally here, almost. It kicks off Thursday night in Seattle. But before the excitement kicks in, there’s business to attend to, the business of making picks for a full slate of 16 games happening on Kickoff Weekend.
NFL Week 1 picks: Bears, Broncos and Patriots locks for kickoff weekend
SB Nation’s “expert” NFL picking panel returns for a new season, starting with a slate of Week 1 games that include some picks so obvious, they’re sure to be wrong.

Every team is undefeated, and all we have to go on, for now, is a plate full of expectations and whatever we saw during the preseason. Once again, we turned to SB Nation’s panel of NFL folks to pick the week’s games.
2014 NFL power rankings
There are a handful of unanimous picks this week, including the Bears over the Bills, the Patriots beating the Dolphins, the Eagles handling the Jaguars and the Steelers turning aside the Browns. At least one of those games will most certainly go the opposite direction, so choose wisely if you opt to go with an obvious one for a survivor pool this week.
