The Philadelphia Eagles begin defense of their NFC East title on Sunday as 11-point favorites against the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to OddsShark.
NFL odds 2014, Week 1: Jaguars vs. Eagles
The Eagles are the biggest favorites in Week 1, giving 11 points in their matchup against the Jaguars.

The Eagles thrived last year in Chip Kelly’s up-tempo offense, leading the NFC in total yards, yards per play and touchdowns en route to a 10-6 record and the team’s first playoff berth since 2010.
They enter this season as favorites in the East after making a lasting impression thanks to Kelly’s fast-paced offensive scheme. It will be interesting to see if opposing teams have caught up after an entire offseason of breaking down film.
The stats may favor the Eagles, but the betting trends paint a different picture. The Jaguars are a surprising 12-3 ATS in their last 15 Week 1 contests, and the Eagles are just 3-11-1 ATS in their last 15 home games.
The Jaguars are also 3-1 SU and ATS in four games against the Eagles in their franchise history, though the Eagles did win and cover in the most recent game in 2010. Philadelphia hasn’t fared well against the betting odds being such a large favorite at home: The Eagles are 0-4 ATS since 2009 as double-digit home chalk.
