UPDATE: Clowney will not return to the game -- he's been ruled out with a knee injury, according to Albert Breer of NFL Network.
The NFL's top draft pick has left the field in Houston. Texans linebacker Jadeveon Clowney has been taken into the locker room with a lower body injury. Charles Robinson of Yahoo reports it's a leg injury, possibly a groin.
Clowney jumped while rushing the passer in the first half and landed awkwardly. He limped off the field and was visibly upset as he made his way to the locker room under his own power. Texans Radio reported he was seen getting his knee checked out on the sideline before walking off.
The rookie made an impressive tackle for a 9-yard loss in the first half, but that was the only tackle he registered before his exit.
Clowney was recently cleared to return after suffering a concussion in training camp.
