Roddy White limps off field after hitting head hard on turf

Roddy White wobbled off the field against the Saints in the first half of Sunday’s game after hitting his head hard on the turf. Luckily he returned later in the contest.

UPDATE: White returned to the game in second half, so it appears he avoided anything serious.

Roddy White limped off the field late in the first half of Sunday's game between the Atlanta Falcons and the New Orleans Saints. The veteran wideout made a spectacular grab, then hit the turf hard. There is no official word yet on his status. White reportedly hit his head:

White suited up for every game the Falcons played from 2005 through 2012, but was gimpy last season, missing three games and struggling when he was on the field. He was proving Sunday why he is so important to Atlanta when healthy, with three catches for 55 yards and a touchdown before halftime.

If White misses more game time, the Falcons at least have Julio Jones to fall back on. Jones caught one pass for 20 yards, which he promptly fumbled, but he is still considered one of the premiere physical talents in the league at his position.
