Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Cecil Shorts is still dealing with a hamstring injury, but plans to test it and run on Tuesday, according to Ryan O'Halloran of the Florida Times-Union. Shorts will attempt to run prior to team practice and how that plays out will determine his status for said practice, according to O'Halloran.
Cecil Shorts will test hamstring on Tuesday; fantasy value possibly impacted by Allen Hurns
Cecil Shorts missed the Jacksonville Jaguars’ season opener, but he plans to test his hamstring on Tuesday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Shorts missed Jacksonville's season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. The Jaguars lost that game, but there were a few surprises, particularly from the wide receiver position. Rookie receiver Allen Hurns got some playing time in Shorts' absence and he made the most out of it in a big way. Hurns led the team with 110 yards and two touchdowns off of just four receptions. He was targeted nine times.
Fantasy Impact: Hurns is likely already a popular pickup in fantasy leagues after his huge performance. Expecting that kind of production out of him going forward and on a consistent basis is probably not a good idea, however. But Hurns unquestionably earned himself some more playing time. Will that playing time lead to less playing time for Cecil Shorts? It certainly seems like a possibility, or at the very least it will mean fewer targets.
