Beyond a tweet announcing they’d released him, the Baltimore Ravens have been largely silent on Ray Rice video released on Monday. While general manager Ozzie Newsome, owner Steve Bisciotti and others remain silent, head coach John Harbaugh spoke about the situation briefly and said Monday was the first the team had seen of the video.

The Ravens haven’t said much on the Ray Rice video released on Monday, but John Harbaugh spoke about the situation briefly with the media.
“(The video) is something we saw for the first time today,” Harbaugh said. “It changed things.”
He said that organization leaders met after watching the video and came to the decision to release the running back. Many have questioned why the team hadn’t seen the video yet, despite reports of its existence. Harbaugh said he had no answer for those questions. He simply said the video was not made available to the team.
Harbaugh did not go into much other detail besides saying it did not take a long deliberation to make the decision. He declined to discuss what Rice told him, or any other conversations he had about the incident with Rice. He said he and his wife would offer help to Rice and his wife, if needed.

Rice was suspended indefinitely by the NFL and teams were told any signed contract with Rice would not be approved or take effect until notice from the commissioners’ office, according to Adam Schefter.
