NFL playoffs odds 2015: Seattle, New England favored in conference championships

Just four teams remain in the NFL playoffs with the Seahawks and Patriots listed as favorites to reach the Super Bowl.

The Divisional round of the playoffs is now a thing of the past, as both conference championship games are now set. The Green Bay Packers took down the Dallas Cowboys, while the Indianapolis Colts upset the Denver Broncos on Sunday, locking in the championship matchups.

In the NFC, the top-seeded Seattle Seahawks will play host to the second-seeded Packers. In the AFC, the top-seeded New England Patriots will host the fourth-seeded Colts. Both should be solid games, but given that we're dealing with the top seeds, parsing out who will be favorites and popular expert picks isn't exactly difficult.

Seattle might be the toughest place to play in the NFL, which is why it was so significant the team beat out Green Bay for the top seed. The Seahawks’ home-field advantage certainly plays a part in the fact that they’ve opened at -7.5 favorites for the game, according to OddsShark.

The Patriots typically have less of a home-field advantage than Seattle, but that hasn’t stopped them from opening up as -7 favorites against the Colts, also according to OddsShark. One of the big things to consider about these home-field advantages is that both Green Bay and Indianapolis weren’t particularly good on the road this season. The Packers finished with a 4-4 mark away from Lambeau Field, while the Colts were 5-3 on the road.
