The Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks will face off in the NFC Championship on Sunday, and the Packers are hoping for better results than the first meeting between these two teams this season. Way back in Week 1 of the regular season, the Seahawks dominated the Packers in Seattle, winning 36-16.

The Seattle Seahawks will host the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship on Sunday, and here’s how you can watch.

Unfortunately for the Packers, this will also be a road game at CenturyLink Field, one of the toughest places to play in the NFL. Not locking down home-field advantage is a big deal for Green Bay, which generally enjoys its own strong advantage at Lambeau Field. The Packers is just 4-4 on the road this season, while Seattle went 7-1 at home.
In the first meeting of the two teams, Aaron Rodgers finished with just 189 passing yards, one touchdown and one interception. It was his second-lowest passer rating of the season and not once in the game did he target a receiver covered by Seahawks All-Pro cornerback Richard Sherman.
Sherman, who is known for his trash talk and self-promotion, has been very complimentary of Rodgers in the week leading up to the game, and that’s been reciprocated by Rodgers. The Packers’ quarterback said the team must respect Sherman and be aware of him, but said he doesn’t fear going after Sherman either.
The matchup between the Seattle secondary and the Packers’ passing attack will be grabbing all the headlines, but perhaps the most important aspect of this game is Green Bay’s ability to stand up to the Seahawks’ pounding run game. Marshawn Lynch leads the league in broken tackles, per Pro Football Focus, but the success is about more than just him. The Seattle offensive line is fourth in the league in adjusted line yards, a stat used by Football Outsiders to track rushing yards generated by the lineman. The Packers D-line, meanwhile, ranks 26th in adjusted line yards allowed. The defense as a whole allows 120 yards on the ground per game.
