The Atlanta Falcons are set to hire former Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan in the same role, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Shanahan resigned as the Browns' offensive coordinator earlier in January, and has been considered for multiple positions around the league, including head coaching positions.
Falcons to hire Kyle Shanahan as offensive coordinator, per report
Kyle Shanahan will lead an offense that features Matt Ryan and Julio Jones.

Shanahan will be reprising his role running an offense, and is reported to come in a package deal along with Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, who would be the head coach. The Falcons cannot hire Quinn yet because the Seahawks are still playing, set to take on the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLIX.
Shanahan takes over an offense that hasn't been part of the problem in Atlanta. The unit has underperformed at times, but nobody can argue the talent at quarterback with Matt Ryan or receiver with Julio Jones. Shanahan certainly has more to work with than he did in Cleveland, where the Browns actually performed quite well for much of the season.
Cleveland was even in the playoff race for a while, but once Brian Hoyer began to struggle and Mike Pettine put in Johnny Manziel, it was all downhill from there. There were reports that Shanahan resigned in Cleveland due in part to a disagreement with the front office regarding the switch at the quarterback position.
