The New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks will face off in Super Bowl 49, and it should be a good one. The Patriots are the top seed in the AFC, taking down the Baltimore Ravens in the Divisional round of the playoffs and the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC Championship. Seattle is the top seed in the NFC, beating the Carolina Panthers in the Divisional round and the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship.
Super Bowl 2015 tickets: Prices slighty down for Seahawks vs. Patriots
But tickets for Super Bowl 49 between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots are still quite expensive.

The two best teams in the league will play for the championship -- funny how that works, right? If you happen to want to get in on the action to see Tom Brady and Bill Belichick go for their fourth Super Bowl together, or the Seahawks attempt to be the first team to repeat since the Patriots did it in 2004, you'll have to buy a ticket on the secondary market.
Unsurprisingly, they don’t come cheap. University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Ariz. will play host to the game, and while it’s a great venue, it seats almost 10,000 fewer than last year’s venue with a listed capacity of 63,400 -- and all of those seats will be at a premium. It’s also a dome, so there will be no weather concerns with the only real potential disappointment being a loss by your chosen team.
The cheapest tickets you’ll find start in the $2,800 range over at the NFL Ticket Exchange, with the highest being more than $13,000. The average price at ticket site TiqIQ is $4,066, as noted in an article from Forbes. That average is down very slightly from a season ago, and the averages tend to trend downward as the game gets closer.
Whatever the case, getting into the Super Bowl is never cheap. It's not quite as expensive as some other Super Bowls, like the last one the Patriots played in, when they lost to the New York Giants in Super Bowl XLVI. That game finished with an average of $4,214.53, according to the Forbes piece. The least expensive recent Super Bowl was the 2010 game between the New Orleans Saints and Indianapolis Colts, for which the average dipped below $3,000.
