NFL playoffs 2015: How to watch Ravens vs. Steelers online
The Ravens and Steelers battle for the third time this season to decide who advances to the next round of the playoffs.
One of the NFL's fiercest rivalries is renewed on Saturday night when the Baltimore Ravens face off against the Pittsburgh Steelers in an AFC Wild Card playoff game at Heinz Field. This will be the fourth all-time meeting in the postseason between these teams, with the Steelers having won all three previous matchups in the 2001, 2008 and 2011 seasons.
The AFC North rivals split their two meetings this year, and though the home team won in lopsided fashion by 20 points each time, predicting a winner is a near-impossible task is this evenly matched rivalry. The Steelers and Ravens have split their last 14 matchups, and nine of those meetings have been decided by a field goal or less.
The Ravens slipped into the playoffs on the final weekend of the season, beating the Cleveland Browns to secure the AFC's sixth seed after the San Diego Chargers flopped in their finale against the Kansas City Chiefs. If Baltimore is going to make a deep postseason run, it needs to fix an offense that has struggled down the stretch. The Ravens have averaged just 20.2 points per game over their last four games and failed to score an offensive touchdown in the first quarter in December.
The Steelers won the AFC North after beating the Cincinnati Bengals in a winner-take-all game for the division title last Sunday night, giving Pittsburgh the conference's third seed and at least one home playoff game. However, that victory was a costly one, with Le'Veon Bell suffering a knee injury in the third quarter. Bell has been not only the Steelers' MVP this season, but is also one of the league's most indispensable players. The outcome of this game might hinge on the health of Bell, who ranks second in the NFL in yards from scrimmage (2,215), and has accounted for nearly 33 percent of his team's rushing and receiving yards.
