With Super Bowl 49 almost here, the oddsmakers are still putting the odds of a championship victory in favor of the New England Patriots over the Seattle Seahawks.
Super Bowl odds 2015: Patriots still slight favorites over Seahawks
The oddsmakers still give the Patriots a slight edge over the Seahawks on the eve of Super Bowl 49.

This year’s title game will feature two of the most successful franchises for more than a decade, as these two clubs have combined for six Super Bowl appearances and four championships since 2002. That’s helped make oddsmakers unwilling to give either team much more than a point or two as far as the spread goes.
On the eve of Super Bowl 49, OddsShark is siding with the Patriots to win their fourth Super Bowl title since 2002, but only by 1 point with an over/under of 47.5. The line hasn't moved much since the two teams won their respective conference championships two weeks ago.
After the Seahawks opened as 2-point favorites, the line quickly moved toward a pick 'em and has settled now at New England being a 1-point favorite. It didn't look like Seattle would be here after trailing the Green Bay Packers, 19-7, late in the fourth quarter of the NFC Championship. The Seahawks then scored 15 straight points before the game went to overtime, when Russell Wilson hit Jermaine Kearse for the game-winning touchdown to send the Seahawks to Super Bowl 49.
New England won easily in the AFC Championship, pounding the Indianapolis Colts, 45-7, to return to the Super Bowl for the first time since they lost to the New York Giants, 21-17, in Super Bowl XLVI. They will look to reclaim their glory days while also preventing Seattle from establishing a dynasty.
The Patriots are now trying to revive their dynasty of the 2000s, which saw the franchise win three championships. They haven't raised the Lombardi since 2005. Meanwhile, the Seahawks are attempting to win their second consecutive Super Bowl after defeating the Broncos last season.
Super Bowl XLIX will be played Sunday at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Ariz. The game will be broadcast on NBC.
