2015 NFL playoff odds, Divisional round: Seahawks, Patriots among the favorites

The top seeds in both the AFC and NFC are favored in the Divisional round, as expected.

The Divisional round of the 2015 NFL playoffs is right around the corner. After sitting on the sidelines resting up for Wild Card round, the top seeds in both conferences will be in action, hosting the winners from Saturday and Sunday. Unsurprisingly, most expect those top seeds to come out on top, though there are several interesting matchups.

After upsetting the No. 3 Pittsburgh Steelers, the Baltimore Ravens will take on the New England Patriots on Saturday. New England is the top seed in the AFC and has more rest than everyone else after taking it easy in Week 17, having already locked up home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. The Patriots opened as the favorites at -7 for the game, according to OddsShark.

Later on that day, the NFC South champion Carolina Panthers will travel to take on the NFC-leading Seattle Seahawks. Carolina beat the Arizona Cardinals in the Wild Card round, despite finishing the regular season with a worse record. Seattle is heavily favored to win that matchup, opening at -11, again via OddsShark.

The game between the Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers on Sunday might be the closest contest of the playoffs. Both teams were in the running for the top seeds in the conference right up until Week 17. Green Bay is favored at -6.5 to win that one.

Finally, the Denver Broncos will host the Indianapolis Colts in another closely matched game. Still, OddsShark lists the Broncos as 7-point favorites to beat the Colts. Indianapolis didn't have any trouble beating the Cincinnati Bengals in the Wild Card round on Sunday.
