Ravens vs. 49ers 2015 picks and predictions: Experts favoring San Francisco

The 1-4 San Francisco 49ers are generally favored by experts to down the 1-4 Baltimore Ravens.

Neither the San Francisco 49ers or Baltimore Ravens seem likely to compete for a Super Bowl this season, though Sunday's game between the two will be the first since they met in the big game. It will also be played at Levi's Stadium, home of Super Bowl 50, in Santa Clara, California. But with a combined 2-8 record, this is as close as either team is getting to the NFL's championship this season.

Neither Joe Flacco nor Colin Kaepernick are playing well, though the latter has had more struggles. Kaepernick has completed 62.9 percent of his passes for 989 yards, four touchdowns and five interceptions. He's been sacked 16 times, as San Francisco's offensive line has been a huge issue this year. San Francisco's offense has been among the worst in the league, unable to put up much production against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Arizona Cardinals and Green Bay Packers.

The offense did have a resurgence in the second half against the New York Giants in Week 5, but the 49ers still lost that game in the closing minutes due to a quick score by New York. It was a game that showed a lot of positives for Jim Tomsula's team, but they're still sitting at 1-4 on the season, with all four losses coming in their last four games.

Baltimore is also 1-4 on the season, with their win coming over the rival Steelers in Week 4. They played well at times against the Cleveland Browns in Week 5, but ultimately allowed the Browns to come from behind and beat them. It was very similar to San Francisco's game against the Giants.

Baltimore hasn’t been blown out in the same way the 49ers have this season, having not lost a game by more than one score, while the 49ers allowed 40 points multiple times.

That said, the experts are still liking the 49ers over the Ravens, for the most part. Over at CBS Sports, six of their eight experts are picking the 49ers. At ESPN, 10 of the 13 experts picking are going with the 49ers as well, with three picking Baltimore.

Here at SB Nation, three of the experts think San Francisco will win it. Four experts, along with the OddsShark computer, are picking the Ravens.
