Late in the first half, New England faced a key 4th-and-1 at the Indianapolis 36-yard line. The Colts expected the Patriots to run and stacked the box. New England ran, but Tom Brady handed the ball to Julian Edelman on the sweep to fool the Colts.
The Colts called the perfect defense to stop New England, but Julian Edelman still burned them

The play didn’t work at all. Indianapolis had Edelman boxed in and ready to force a turnover on downs.
That has the makings of being a huge defensive stop. Does this look anything like a player about to gain five yards from this spot?
Yet, that is exactly what Edelman did. With a quick spin, Edelman took two defenders out of the play and managed to get the first down.
4th & 1. Handoff to Julian Edelman. He sees trouble. He somehow SPINS out of it for the first down. Wow. #NEvsIND http://t.co/ivaU9w2YU4
— NFL (@NFL) October 19, 2015 The Colts were in perfect position to make a play and just didn’t. That effort helped the Patriots score three points before the end of the half. In a very close back-and-forth game, those three points could prove to be pivotal.
