There are few teams who understand the importance of the last minute of the fourth quarter quite like the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers. Both teams are coming off games with different results -- Seattle blew a lead to lose to Carolina while the 49ers held off a last-ditch effort from Baltimore to win. Now, the teams will meet in what was recently one of the most anticipated matchups of the season.

Tied for last in the NFC West, these teams are still looking for their identities in Week 7.
Seattle's Russell Wilson finally found a nice rhythm with tight end Jimmy Graham, connecting eight times for 140 yards -- a game high since Graham joined the Seahawks. After being limited for much of the year, Marshawn Lynch scored his first touchdown of the season. With both Lynch and Graham contributing at higher levels, Wilson and the offense should have more versatility. They will need to be better to avoid the costly stalled drives of recent weeks.
Surprisingly for the Seahawks, the defense has also been a problem. In the past two games, Seattle allowed 30 fourth-quarter points and failed to capitalize on turnover opportunities. The Seahawks face a Niners offense that is toward the bottom of the league in passing yards per game (202.8) and dead last in points per game (16.7), which could help the struggling Seahawks secondary recover.
Niners quarterback Colin Kaepernick has offensive talent around him, including receivers Anquan Boldin, Torrey Smith and running back Carlos Hyde, but the 49ers' offense still has trouble scoring. The team had a better outing last Sunday against the Ravens, winning 25-20 despite the defense allowing 420 yards.
These two rivals are tied for last in the NFC West at 2-4. Seattle and San Francisco used to go head-to-head for NFC supremacy, but now, they are playing just to stay alive in the division race.
