Dallas Cowboys defensive end Greg Hardy is in the news again and not for his play on the field. Hardy drew attention on Sunday after being involved in multiple sideline altercations with his teammates and coaches on the sideline. Now, news comes that Hardy also did not show up to a practice on Thursday leading up to the game, according to NFL.com.
Greg Hardy missed practice prior to Week 7 without notifying the Cowboys

Cowboys coach Jason Garrett and owner Jerry Jones defended Hardy’s actions in Sunday’s game, and really, they don’t care what he does or says so long as he plays well on the field. So, it’s no surprise to hear that Hardy played and was allowed to be as out of control he was on Sunday after missing the practice.
Hardy was eventually listed on the injury report with an illness. It’s unclear if he did, in fact, have an illness or if that’s just how the Cowboys decided to label it. Either way, Hardy did not reach out to the team and tell them that he wouldn’t be attending the session, and the team had to make a “series of calls” to find out why he wasn’t there, according to the report. It took “most of Thursday morning” to find Hardy.
It’s unclear if the team punished or plans to punish Hardy for the transgression, but given the things Hardy did to get himself in trouble before ever signing with the Cowboys and the things he said immediately after returning from a four-game suspension, it seems unlikely.
Hardy's actions on Sunday included a verbal altercation with wide receiver Dez Bryant and an incident in which he slapped the clipboard of special teams coach Rich Bisaccia.
