Andrew Luck was listed as questionable before missing Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, and his status for the team's next game, against the Houston Texans on a short week, is still up in the air. Although Sports Illustrated's Peter King claimed Sunday that it was "no better than 50/50 that he will play at Houston," Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported Monday that the Colts' plan is to have Luck ready to play Thursday night.
Andrew Luck’s chances of playing vs. Texans are improving
Andrew Luck missed Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars and could miss the next one, a Thursday match against the Houston Texans.

“At this point that is certainly their hope and expectation,” Rapoport said. He also said that Luck’s injury is a partial dislocation and that he did not suffer any structural damage.
The Colts appear to be confident Luck will be back and already announced the release of quarterback Josh Johnson, who was signed just before Week 4 to be a backup for Matt Hasselbeck.
King's report was made on NBC's Football Night in America in advance of the Sunday's game between the Dallas Cowboys and New Orleans Saints. Luck was "getting rehab just an hour ago at the Colts' facility, so they're trying everything they can to get him going," according to King.
In Week 4, the Colts started Hasselbeck at quarterback against the Jaguars and pulled off a tight overtime victory to take control of the AFC South. It was the first time Luck had missed a game due to injury in his career, and at one point before Sunday head coach Chuck Pagano said he was confident Luck would be able to play in that game.
There have been no reports of Luck suffering setbacks, but he’s simply day-to-day with the injury and he could easily be a game-time decision for Thursday.
Hasselbeck played well for the Colts against the Jaguars. He completed 30 of 47 passes for 282 yards and a touchdown with no interceptions. The Colts just barely squeaked by in this game though, as Jaguars kicker Jason Myers missed multiple game-winning field goal attempts.
The Colts are riding a 15-game divisional winning streak when they head into Houston Thursday night to play a Texans team that is just 1-3 on the season.
