New York Jets wide receiver Eric Decker is active for the team's game against the Oakland Raiders on Sunday.
Eric Decker active for Week 8 game vs. Raiders
Decker will suit up despite being questionable with a knee injury.
Decker was on the injury report with a knee injury, although the team didn’t express any real doubts about his status. After sitting out Wednesday’s practice, Decker returned to limited sessions on Thursday and Friday. He was listed as questionable but will be good to go.
Decker picked up the injury in Week 2, although he only missed one game before coming back following the Jets’ Week 4 bye. His limited practice reps may just be the team resting its oft-banged up veteran.
The 28-year-old signed with with the Jets last offseason after spending the first four years of his career with the Denver Broncos. In 2014, he put up 74 catches for 962 yards and five touchdowns, which was actually considered a letdown after he had huge numbers with Peyton Manning in Denver. This year, the Jets traded for Brandon Marshall and Decker has enjoyed quality production as the No. 2 receiver. In five games, Decker has 24 catches for 333 yards and four touchdowns.
